(which the dr just warned us about). We will hopefully be getting in by the end of the year - if not, jan it will be for us. Both eyes - very scary - but very hopeful! The last surgery I wanted done before my Sr. pics for HS were taken...turns out the pics were taken on the way to the hospital for my final surgery! Figures...ugh. I have never had any depth perception which makes some things difficult but I have been able to learn to do whatever I have wanted to do...like play a mean game of softball and drive! It just takes much more practice. Anywoo...things look like they have changed! He is not bandaged and that's wonderful! I have Strabismus/Amblyopia as well. I never had surgery for it, but man did I struggle through a lot when I was younger. I wore an eye patch to strengthen my right eye (the one that turns in). I've had glasses since I was about 6 months old and went from wearing bifocals to a much lower prescription. My right eye still crosses when I take off my glasses but now it's something I have to put effort into doing. My glasses have become sort of a comfort thing for me so I'm not sure I'll ever be able to replace them with contacts. Anyway, I thought I'd share my story.
