I LOVE storms as well, but unfortunately we don’t often see rain here in the desert. We HAVE been sharing in your crazy weather, though. While it hasn’t brought many storms our way, I have been able to snuggle in bed in the morning and enjoy the SOUND of the rain falling, which is almost as good.

I’m 31 years old. I learned JUST LAST YEAR about the whole “leaves turning over before a rain” thing. How the hell did I not know this? I’m a smart guy. I know things!

Anyway, I LOVE thunderstorms. As soon as sirens start blaring, the wife starts packing shit to take down to the basement while I stand on the porch looking for the doom that the siren was trying to warn me of.

You may want to download the white noise app, for it has a thunderstorm feature. I personally don’t know why someone would try to rest to the sound of a thunderstorm, but it might be right up your alley! My girls are definitely on Team Zach.

I love a really good storm. We get fantastic ones in Sydney where I grew up, but here in London you just don’t. You might get the rumbling, but never the forked lightening.

I love thunderstorms (and storms in general) too. When I moved to Toronto one of the things that made me fall in love with it were the many, many summer storms that blast through each year. And morning storms are the best.

But G is like Zach, not a fan.

It’s pissed down rain here for four days, but not a single rumble. Highly disappointing. But if we’re really lucky, we get summer thunderstorms which, in the desert, kick ass.

I’m going to have to agree with Zach on this one. The things that freaks me out most in life is storms at night, it could be because I live in the land of tornados and they never show up during the day when you can see them. We’re even having rare winter storms and tornados right now. Then Sunday your California storms are moseying their way over to Tennessee to scare the pee out of me some more. =P
